A CALL TO GLOBAL REPENTANCE

“If My people who are called by my name, will turn from their wicked ways and seek My face, then I will hear from heaven and heal their land” … (2Chron 7:14)

“Break up your fallow ground, sow not among thorns…”(Hosea 10:12)

“Prepare the way of The LORD, make every crooked path straight...” (Matthew 3:3)

"GOD I'm Sorry"

2020 A YEAR LIKE NO OTHER..

2020 has been a year like no other.. global upheaval and uncertainty…. The world as we know it is being shaken..

As we rush to the end of 2020 and hasten to the start of another year, The LORD called me aside to seek Him in a fast, as I responded to the grace extended, He gave me a vision for prayer and repentance.

A VISION FOR THE GATES OF 2021

A vision of a 24 hour prayer meeting, a meeting where people from every age, representing every nation, tribe and tongue across the globe can say from the depths of their hearts, “GOD, I’m sorry”. For 23 hours no singing, no music, no preaching, simply people representing their nation and continent coming under the spirit of repentance. The 24th hour we would worship Him and invite our Great KING, The LORD GOD Almighty to speak to us, to speak to His world and to His people.

As I enquired as to when this should take place, The Spirit of Wisdom spoke to me, “Which day would entail the biggest sacrifice? On which day to people around the globe eat and celebrate and drink the most?” – universally and clearly, New Year’s Day.

SO WHAT IF?

So, what if 1,000’s of people around the globe were to collectively offer up and sacrifice their New Year’s Day shouting and celebrations to GOD Almighty as a sacrifice to Him? To not shout but to mourn in godly sorrow. To fast rather than to feast as in Jonah’s day? To come with bended knee to say, “GOD, I’m sorry.. please forgive me”. For children to say, “GOD, I’m sorry for being rude to my parents”, for teenagers to say, “GOD, I’m sorry for being rebellious”, for young men to say, “I’m sorry GOD for watching that girlie movie”, for married men to say, “LORD forgive me for the adultery in my heart”…

This can be one small step to seeing our nations healed, an merciful trickle of GOD’s grace and outpouring of GOD’s SPIRIT can be released on our lands, a spirit of repentance can touch our leaders..

BUT ONLY IF..

“If My people.. “

WILL YOU STAND ON BEHALF OF YOUR PEOPLE?

So, I ask you, if you are reading this are you a leader in your church? Your city? Your district? In your nation? Can we pull this off together? Can you stand as a gatekeeper and watchman over your city or nation and say “LORD, I repent on behalf of my people, I stand here to say, ‘GOD, I’m sorry’”. Can you share this among your leaders and say, can we enter 2021 not with our normal clinking of wine glasses and shouts of “Happy New…!!” but rather with deep heart searching as we ‘break up our fallow ground’ and come in sorrow of repentance? Can we identify with the sin of the world and of our peoples and nation?

CAN WE STAND IN THE GAP?

“I sought for a man to stand in the gap” (Ezekiel 22:30)

Can we like Daniel bear our hearts before The LORD and pray like he prayed, “O Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments, we have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and Your judgments…” (Daniel 9:4,5)

Can we pray as Isaiah the prophet did, “We have sinned and gone astray..” (Is 53)

Together let us receive a spirit of repentance and pray change for our lands and peoples.

40,000?

“And of Asher, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, forty thousand.” (1 Chronicles 12:36)

“About forty thousand prepared for war passed over before the LORD unto battle, to the plains of Jericho” (Joshua 4:13)

As a target number The LORD gave me 40,000, 40,000 who will pray over some of the 24 hours window of time of New Year’s Day 2021? 40,000 who armed with repentant hearts will war for the destinies of nations.
